Black Faculty and Staff Council (BFSC)

The Black Faculty and Staff Council is committed to the future of the University and Lawrence community.

Purpose, History and Objectives

Throughout the year we foster community, discuss issues of concern, and advocate on behalf of faculty, staff, and students who identify as Black, African, African American, and/or with any identities connected to the African diaspora. With BFSC, you will find opportunities to network with a supportive community of faculty, staff, students, and alumni.

Membership

Membership is open to all faculty, unclassified and university support staff, and graduate students who are interested in and supportive of BFSC objectives. You can find more information about BCFS and the KU's Affinity Faculty and Staff Councils at the link below.

If you know any new KU faculty, staff, or graduate students who may be interested in joining BFSC please direct them to the Interest Form for Faculty Staff Councils linked below, so that they can be added to our correspondence
